Welcome!

Amateur artist, Emily Speakman is a self-taught 18 year old, Welsh, multi award winning artist who lives in the little historic market town of Mold, North Wales. Along with other successes,  Emily has exhibited at the Tate Liverpool and she has had her work published on the front cover of books.

 

This site is her way of sharing her paintings with family, friends and the wider Internet community.

Emily was selected to have her work exhibited at the Tate Liverpool as part of the Blueprint Festival.  Her painting ‘Birth’ was on display for two weeks from 19th July to the 2nd August 2014! Here she is pictured with her Grandad at the Tate.

Helfa Gelf 2014

 

 Emily had some earlier landscape work on display (starting from the age of 12) Click the image to be directed straight to the ACO Galleries Helfa Gelf web page where you will find all the information you need to enjoy the biggest open studio event in North Wales.  ACO Galleries  were exhibiting at Plas Power Adventure Wrexham.  

Emily was moved and honoured when RAF Valley, SAR Force contacted her and asked if she could help raise funds for the Jon Egging Trust.

Emily painted a search and rescue scene on the tail rotor blade of a Sea King helicopter.  This rare piece of aviation artwork raised £770.00 for the trust.

Emily is  very excited to be exhibiting a new collection of works at the following...

The first A.C.O exhibition will be held at The festival Hall Alderley Edge, Cheshire from 2nd - 5th May and will showcase work by some of the finest artists in the North. All A.C.O members are 'realism' artists.

 

The Wrexham Open 2013 Art Exhibition is open from 7 Sept - 19 Oct 2013. This is a lovely exhibition of works where  Emily is  very proud to have won not only the Best young Artist category but also the People's Choice Prize!

 

 

Emily's winning entry 'Tranquility' will be on display in London, at the All About Art Event, from the 25th to the 27th July.  Emily won the best junior entry in the boats, water and seascape category. 

Latest News!
Here is Emily pictured with Eluned Yaxley of Ty Gobaith/Hope House childrens hospice, where she  donated her painting 'Bubbles'.  This contribution is very small in comparison to all the hard efforts of the staff but Emily was so honoured to be asked to help.
